GTA 6: Everything Officially Confirmed So Far

With launch under four months away, this is the record: everything Rockstar has officially confirmed about Grand Theft Auto VI — no rumors, no leaks, updated as new confirmations land. Bookmark this page; everything unconfirmed lives in the rumor tracker instead.
Release date
Thursday, November 19, 2026. It took three announcements to get here: a loose “fall 2025” at the 2023 reveal, then May 26, 2026 announced in May 2025, then the final move to November 19 announced that November. Take-Two’s CEO has since said no further delays are expected. The countdown is running.
Platforms
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nothing else — no last-gen versions (debunked), no announced PC version (tracked here; history says late 2027+). Full analysis in the platforms guide.
Setting
The state of Leonida — Rockstar’s Florida — in the present day, centered on a reimagined Vice City. Six regions are officially named: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. The map & setting guide covers each region; the speculative map pins them.
Protagonists and cast
Two playable leads: Lucia Caminos — out of prison, the series’ first modern female protagonist — and Jason Duval, ex-Army, scraping by in the Keys. Around them, Rockstar has profiled a full supporting cast: Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, the Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, Brian Heder and Cal Hampton. Bios and analysis in the characters guide; the official story setup — easy money gone wrong, a conspiracy across Leonida — in the story guide.
Editions and pricing
Standard $79.99, Ultimate $99.99. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. The Ultimate Edition adds premium vehicles, apparel, personalized weapons and two exclusive Vehicle Mod Shops; every copy purchased through November 20 includes the free Vintage Vice City Pack. The editions guide breaks down whether either is worth it.
Trailers
Two so far: Trailer 1 (December 2023 — 90M+ views in 24 hours) and Trailer 2 (May 2025, alongside the big official-site update). Both are annotated frame by frame in the trailers hub. A third is expected but unannounced.
What is NOT confirmed
Worth stating plainly, because headlines blur it: no online mode has been announced (rumor status), no PC version, no frame-rate targets (60fps rumor), no preload date (tracked), no map size, no story length, no villain. When any of those change, they move from the rumor tracker to this page.
