GTA 6 Launch Trailer Is Out — and Justice Is Scoring the Game

Rockstar Games released the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026, five weeks before the game arrives on November 19. It runs about 90 seconds, and it doubles as a music announcement: the trailer debuts “Flower in a Hurricane” by the French electronic duo Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and Rockstar credits Justice as the composers of the game’s original score.

The trailer is listed on the official GTA VI site alongside the three earlier videos, and Rockstar’s own post on X calls Justice “original score composers.” That makes the score credit an official fact rather than an inference from the trailer music.

What the trailer shows

This is a mood piece, not a feature tour. Coverage across outlets agrees that it introduces no new systems and leans on story instead:

According to Rockstar, the footage was captured entirely on PlayStation 5, the same claim it made for the Extended Look. If you want to avoid even this much story, our spoiler guide covers which official material to skip.

Every official GTA 6 video so far

The official site now lists four videos. Rockstar numbers only the first two as trailers, which is why outlets disagree on whether this is “Trailer 3” or the fourth video.

Video Date Length
Trailer 1 December 2023 1:31
Trailer 2 May 6, 2025 2:47
An Extended Look August 27, 2026 26:48
Launch Trailer October 15, 2026 about 1:30

The pattern matches the series: a short, cut-down launch trailer in the final weeks, after the long-form material has done the explaining. Take-Two had already said the Netflix premiere was “one of the hors d’oeuvres” with more to come, and this is the first video to follow it. Rockstar has not announced another video before launch.

Justice and the score

Justice — Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay — are best known for synth-heavy French house, which suits a setting built on Miami’s neon image. Rockstar has commissioned original scores before — Grand Theft Auto V had one under its missions — but this is the first time a GTA 6 composer has been named.

The score is a separate thing from the radio. On October 8, Rockstar named six in-game stations and their hosts; the score is the music under missions and cutscenes, and its composer was the piece still missing. Our radio and soundtrack tracker now records both.

Rockstar told fans to stay tuned for more on the music of the game, “including the official score album.” It has not dated that album or said how many cues it holds.

How it fits with The Album

“Flower in a Hurricane” also appears on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the 34-track collection with Atlantic Records that releases on November 19. It is streaming now on the major services. That leaves three distinct pieces of GTA 6 music:

Release What it is Status
The Album 34 original songs by named artists Out November 19, pre-orders open
In-game radio Licensed and original music on stations Six stations named, more promised
Score album Justice’s original score Announced, undated

Rockstar has not said whether the album’s songs also play on the in-game stations.

What it does not tell us

The trailer adds no new release information. The date is still November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading from November 12. There is no PC version announced, no file size and no hint of a later video. Everything else that is official is collected in our confirmed roundup.
