What radio stations and music will GTA 6 have?
Rockstar has not announced GTA 6's radio stations, hosts, or full soundtrack. Music used in promotional material does not by itself confirm an in-game station or licensed track list.
Verdict: Rumored. GTA 6 is expected to continue Grand Theft Auto’s long association with radio and licensed music, but Rockstar has not announced station names, DJs, talk shows, genres, or a complete soundtrack. Promotional music should not be converted into a supposed station list.
What is officially known
The released trailers use music as part of their presentation, while Leonida’s nightlife, cars, beaches, and social scenes make sound central to the setting. None of that amounts to an official radio feature breakdown. Rockstar’s GTA 6 site does not currently provide a station directory or soundtrack listing.
It is possible for a song to appear in a trailer without appearing in the finished game’s radio rotation. Licensing, editorial decisions, and the separate purpose of trailer music all matter. The trailer archive documents official promotional releases without treating their audio as a confirmed in-game playlist.
Series precedent
Radio is one of GTA’s defining world-building tools. Vice City used period music and station personalities to establish its 1980s identity. San Andreas covered multiple genres while using talk radio and advertisements to satirize its setting. GTA V built stations around contemporary Los Santos and expanded parts of its music offering over time through GTA Online.
| Game | Radio’s role |
|---|---|
| Vice City | Period identity and strong station personalities |
| San Andreas | Regional and cultural variety across a large state |
| GTA V | Broad modern selection, talk content, and later online additions |
| GTA 6 | Exact stations and format unannounced |
That precedent makes radio highly plausible, but it cannot establish particular artists, hosts, or genres. Present-day Leonida may inspire Latin, Caribbean, hip-hop, electronic, rock, country, pop, and talk programming, yet naming any lineup before Rockstar does would be guesswork.
Questions still unanswered
We do not know how many stations there will be, whether Lucia and Jason have different listening preferences, whether music changes by region, or whether players can build custom playlists. Rockstar has not explained licensed music outside vehicles, dynamic scoring, talk-radio satire, podcasts, or how an online component might update audio after launch.
Claims circulating from unofficial sources do not provide a dependable track list. Music rights can also change during development, so even plausible claims would not equal a final soundtrack.
Our read
Some form of vehicle radio would be consistent with every modern mainline GTA, and Leonida offers rich material for a varied selection. Still, the useful answer today is about uncertainty: there is no official station list to publish. Readers should be cautious with playlists that mix trailer tracks, fan wishes, and alleged discoveries without clear labels.
For setting context, see modern-day Vice City and the map and setting guide. We will separate confirmed promotional music from confirmed in-game audio when Rockstar supplies that distinction.
An official station reveal would normally provide more than song names. Station branding, hosts, advertisements, talk segments, and regional context are all part of how GTA radio builds its world. It is also worth separating an original score from licensed radio: mission music may respond dynamically even when a player is not listening to a station. Rockstar has not detailed either layer for GTA 6. Until it does, fan playlists can be enjoyable predictions, but they should never be presented as extracted or final soundtrack information.
