Privacy Policy
VicePulse is an independent fan site about Grand Theft Auto VI. This page explains exactly what data the site collects, why, and what control you have over it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
The short version
- We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal information you type in.
- There are no accounts, no newsletter, no comments, and no forms on this site.
- We use Google Analytics to count page views — and only if you accept cookies.
- If you decline, analytics cookies are never set and the site works identically.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read, so we know what to write more of. It records things like the page visited, approximate location (country or region level), device type and referring site.
Analytics loads in a consent-denied state by default. Until you press Accept on the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are stored on your device. If you press Decline, that preference is remembered and analytics stays off. IP addresses are anonymised.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the keyvp-consent. That value never leaves your device. To change or reset your choice, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will reappear.
Data we never collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, or account credentials, because the site has no feature that would need them. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising trackers. If advertising is added in future, this page will be updated before it goes live, and the cookie banner will cover it.
Third-party content
Some pages embed video from YouTube. Video is only loaded after you click play — until then, no request is made to YouTube and no YouTube cookies are set. Once you play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback. We use youtube-nocookie.com where possible.
Outbound links to Rockstar Games, news outlets and other sites are provided as sources. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, their privacy practices.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained by Google under our property's default retention settings and is only ever viewed in aggregate. We hold no separate database or server logs of our own — the site is static files served from a CDN.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with data protection laws such as GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to processing. Because we hold no personal data directly, most requests are best served by clearing your browser data — but if you believe we hold something about you, email us and we will act on it.
Children
This site covers a video game rated for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
