GTA 6 Gets Its First Real Date: May 26, 2026

Rockstar gave Grand Theft Auto VI its first concrete release date on May 2, 2025: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The announcement replaced the loose “fall 2025” window from earlier messaging, with Rockstar apologizing for the delay and thanking players for their patience — language that would return, almost word for word, when the date moved again to November 19, 2026.

The May date did its job in one way: four days later, Rockstar dropped Trailer 2 and the biggest official info dump the game has had to date.
