Can you get tattoos and haircuts in GTA 6?

Yes. Rockstar's store listings name Sara's Unisex Salon for hair and styling and Electric Fang Tattoo for tattoo designs. Both are Ultimate Edition exclusives, so the Standard Edition equivalents are not yet described.

Verdict — Confirmed: haircuts and tattoos are in GTA 6, and Rockstar has named the businesses. Its edition listings identify Sara’s Unisex Salon for hair and styling and Electric Fang Tattoo for tattoo work, both as in-game locations rather than menu abstractions.

This page previously rated the feature “likely” on series precedent alone, and noted that Rockstar had not identified a barber or tattoo business by name. That is no longer true.

What Rockstar named

The Rockstar Store and PlayStation Store listings describe the same two establishments:

The listings separately include “Vice City style outfits, hairstyles, tattoos” as content, and the free Vintage Vice City Pack adds vintage hairstyles for both leads. Rockstar is selling hairstyles and tattoos as items, which only makes sense if the game has places to apply them.

The exclusivity caveat, stated plainly

Both named shops are Ultimate Edition exclusives. That confirms the systems exist; it does not describe what Standard Edition buyers get.

Two readings are possible, and Rockstar has endorsed neither:

Reading What it would mean
Exclusive location, ordinary system Standard buyers visit other salons and parlors across Leonida; the Ultimate shops add specific catalogs
Exclusive access to the system Standard buyers have restricted or no shop-based appearance customization

The first is far more consistent with how GTA V distributed barbers and tattoo shops across its map, and with the word “exclusive” implying a broader non-exclusive category. It remains inference. Anyone deciding between editions should read the editions and preorder guide rather than assume.

Series precedent

Appearance customization has been a recurring part of Rockstar’s open worlds, which is why the feature was rated likely long before it was named.

Game Hair customization Tattoo customization
GTA: San Andreas Barber shops with selectable styles Tattoo parlors across the map
GTA V Barber shops for each protagonist Tattoo shops with character-dependent options
GTA Online Expanding salon and character options Large catalog tied to progression and updates
Red Dead Redemption 2 Hair and beard growth plus barbers No comparable tattoo-shop system

GTA V is the closest precedent: three protagonists, each able to visit businesses and pay for appearance changes, with some options character-specific. GTA 6 having two leads with separately attributed options — facial hair for Jason, makeup and nails for Lucia — follows the same pattern.

What is still unknown

Naming two shops answers the yes-or-no question and very little else. Rockstar has not stated:

No reliable pricing, shop count or catalog is public, and claims circulating from unofficial sources cannot supply those details. The broader appearance question is tracked on the character customization page, and the wider retail question on shops and malls.

This page will be updated when Rockstar details the shops themselves.
