Take-Two's Shareholder Meeting: GTA 6, PC and the Delays

Take-Two held its annual shareholder meeting on September 17, 2026, a short, virtual, audio-only session two months before Grand Theft Auto VI ships. Nothing about the game changed: it is still set for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and CEO Strauss Zelnick gave no sign that the date is in question. What the meeting did produce was two answers worth reading closely — one on the game’s delays, one on PC.
We flagged this meeting in July, when the proxy statement that scheduled it called the GTA 6 year a potential “major inflection point” for the company. Proxy votes are routine. The question-and-answer segment is where the news was.
The question about delays
Zelnick read one shareholder question aloud in full rather than paraphrasing it, as both GamesRadar+, which attended, and Kotaku reported:
“Many shareholders have tolerated years of delays, missed expectations, and continued dependence on a small number of major franchises. If these issues persist, does the board believe that the current management team remains the right group to lead the company, or is prepared to replace senior executives if operational performance and shareholder value creation do not improve?”
He accepted the premise that an underperforming management team should be replaced, then said: “I would, however, quibble with your characterization in the question.” His case was historical. When his team took over in March 2007, he said, the company’s revenue was under a billion dollars, it “was under investigation by at least four government entities,” had not filed annual reports in 13 months, and “was very nearly bankrupt.” Today, he said, “the company’s revenue is guided to be between 8 and 8.2 billion dollars this year.”
He also pointed to GTA V itself, noting that it “launched in 2013, and unlike most titles, remained a top five selling title for 13 years.”
Kotaku read the exchange as grumpy and defensive. The more useful reading for players is what Zelnick did not say. Asked directly about delays two months out, he offered no hedge on November 19 and no suggestion that the schedule is under review. The two previous slips — from fall 2025 to May 2026, then to November — are covered in our delay history.
What he said about PC
The second answer came from a question about whether PS5 Pro shortages were affecting PC plans. Zelnick reframed it as a question about “the cadence of PC launches,” and said the company’s strategy is, over time and generally speaking, to launch on any platform with a meaningful audience. Then the line both GamesRadar+ and GameSpot built headlines around:
“And I would note that the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time.”
It is worth being precise about what this is. It is not a PC announcement, a window, or a commitment for GTA 6 specifically. Zelnick named no game and no date. PC Gamer pointed out that it sits awkwardly beside his comment in May that PC can account for up to half of a major release’s sales, while GTA 6 still launches on consoles only.
| Question | Answer after September 17 |
|---|---|
| Is GTA 6 on PC at launch? | No — PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only |
| Has a PC version been announced? | No |
| Did Take-Two rule PC out? | No — it called PC “more and more important” |
| Is there a PC date or window? | No |
Our GTA 6 on PC page stays at rumored for that reason. The comment strengthens the expectation of an eventual port; it does not confirm one. Rockstar announced the GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 PC versions in short Newswire posts, and that is still the signal to watch for.
Online, briefly
Asked about GTA Online, Zelnick repeated that GTA 6 launches as a single-player experience, and said the current GTA Online “continues to be a robust business for us,” according to PC Gamer. That matches what Take-Two said on its August earnings call, covered in GTA Online support after GTA 6. No new online mode, date or window was mentioned.
What it adds up to
For anyone planning a launch-day purchase, nothing moved. The platforms, the date and the single-player framing are as they were — the platforms guide still covers the choice between PS5 and Xbox. What the meeting shows is a publisher answering hard questions about GTA 6’s delays without any sign of hesitation about November 19, and declining, again, to say anything concrete about PC.
