Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score by Justice on October 29, 2026, and dated it for December 11, a little over three weeks after the game. The French duo released a second preview the same day: “Pusher”, an instrumental featuring Gesaffelstein.

This report is backfill by three days. Rockstar’s own music page now states the details directly: 30 tracks, plus digital bonus tracks across all formats, coming to streaming services, CD and vinyl.

What is coming, and when

The score is a separate release from the album of original songs that arrives with the game. Keeping the two apart matters, because both carry almost the same name and both feature Justice’s music.

What the score actually does

The more interesting detail is about the game rather than the album. Rockstar calls this an “adaptive score”, and the announcement says it is tuned to game events as they happen, reacting to how players engage with people and places across Leonida.

That closes a gap on our radio and soundtrack page, which had the score’s author but nothing on how it behaves in play. It still stops short of specifics. Rockstar has not said whether the music follows wanted levels, missions or free roam alike, or how many layers it has.

Xavier de Rosnay said in the announcement that the size of the game demanded a broad range of genres and moods, and that the duo were given room to explore them. That fits the two tracks heard so far. “Flower in a Hurricane”, which debuted in the Launch Trailer with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, is a pop song. “Pusher” is the first preview of the instrumental side, and the first time Justice have worked with Gesaffelstein.

The announcement adds that “Flower in a Hurricane” reached number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Series precedent

Red Dead Redemption 2’s score album came out in July 2019, about nine months after the game launched. A gap of 22 days is far shorter.

Grand Theft Auto V is the closer comparison for how the music works. Its missions used a layered score that responded to the action, written by several composers. Handing the whole job to one established act is a different approach, and it follows the same logic as The Album: Rockstar is treating the music as a release in its own right.

What is still unannounced

The complete list of in-game radio stations is also still to come. Rockstar has named six so far and says the dial covers more formats than those stations do.
