Rumored — no season pass has been announced. Rockstar’s GTA 6 editions list does not promise access to future DLC, campaign expansions, or online updates. The game launches November 19, 2026 for PS5, including PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.

What the two editions actually include

The Standard Edition costs $79.99. The $99.99 Ultimate Edition adds premium vehicles, apparel, personalized weapons, and two exclusive Vehicle Mod Shops. Copies bought through November 20, 2026 receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026.

Those are announced items, not a season pass. Rockstar has not described the Ultimate Edition as including all future content, a set number of expansions, early DLC access, or recurring seasonal rewards.

Season pass, expansion, and online update are different

A season pass is normally a paid bundle granting later content under defined terms. A story expansion is a particular type of additional content and could be sold alone. Online updates may be free, paid, funded through in-game purchases, or structured in another way.

Rockstar has announced none of those plans for GTA 6. It has not published a post-launch roadmap or even confirmed a GTA 6 online mode. A bonus vehicle or shop in the Ultimate Edition does not establish how future development will be sold.

The story DLC page tracks possible single-player expansions without treating them as promised. The online successor page does the same for multiplayer.

Previous games do not provide a guarantee

GTA IV received major story expansions, while GTA V did not receive a released single-player expansion. GTA Online instead grew for more than a decade through heists, businesses, a casino, and many other updates. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched alongside a separate online experience but did not establish a GTA 6 sales model.

This mixed history makes it unsafe to predict a conventional pass. Rockstar could announce one later, sell expansions separately, focus on ongoing online content, or offer no paid post-launch package. No option is confirmed.

Buying advice before any roadmap

Choose between Standard and Ultimate based only on the bonuses Rockstar lists today. Do not pay the $20 difference expecting unannounced expansions or lifetime access to future additions. If a season pass later appears, Rockstar will need to state its price, contents, platforms, and relationship to existing editions.

Store wording should be read closely. Terms such as “bonus content” and “Ultimate” do not mean “all DLC” unless the product description explicitly says so. The confirmed roundup will record any change in the official offer.
