What are GTA 6's PC system requirements?

GTA 6 has no announced PC version, so there are no official PC system requirements. Current CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and operating-system lists are guesses.

Verdict: Rumored. There are no official GTA 6 PC system requirements because Rockstar has not announced a PC version. Any minimum or recommended specification published now is an estimate, placeholder, or fabrication rather than a Rockstar requirement.

What is actually announced

GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5, including PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. Those are the only confirmed platforms. PC is not on the official list, and Rockstar has provided no PC release window.

Without an announced port, there is no official target operating system, processor, graphics card, memory amount, DirectX requirement, or storage figure. Rockstar also has not stated PC graphics features, resolution targets, frame rates, launcher support, or input requirements.

The GTA 6 PC version page tracks the platform rumor itself. Until that first question changes, a requirements table cannot be authoritative.

Rockstar’s PC port history

Past releases explain why many players expect a PC edition eventually, but history does not announce one. Rockstar’s timing has varied substantially.

Game Console release PC release Approximate gap
GTA IV April 2008 December 2008 About 8 months
GTA V September 2013 April 2015 About 19 months
Red Dead Redemption 2 October 2018 November 2019 About 12.5 months
GTA 6 November 19, 2026 Not announced Unknown

These examples establish that delayed PC versions have happened. They do not produce a reliable average for GTA 6, and they cannot identify what hardware a future port might require. Development scope, release strategy, and PC hardware all change over time.

Why requirement calculators fail

Unofficial lists often work backward from trailer visuals or compare GTA 6 with another demanding game. That approach cannot account for optimization, graphics presets, target resolution, upscaling, CPU workload, or the final PC port’s feature set. It also cannot know hardware that may be common when or if a port ships.

Requirement category Official GTA 6 PC information
CPU None
GPU None
Memory None
Storage None
Operating system None

Storage guesses are especially weak because Rockstar has not announced the console file size either. The GTA 6 file size page explains the difference among download, installed size, and required free space.

Retail pages and “Can I run it?” tools may display speculative data to organize future interest. A polished table does not make its numbers official. Do not buy or replace PC components solely around those claims.

What would make requirements official

First, Rockstar would need to announce a PC version. Minimum and recommended specifications could then appear on Rockstar’s site, a supported PC storefront, the Newswire, or an official support page. Useful requirements would identify performance assumptions so players understand what “minimum” and “recommended” are intended to deliver.

Until that happens, PC owners can follow the confirmed console launch through everything confirmed so far and treat every hardware list as unofficial. No honest source can currently promise that a specific PC will run an unannounced port.

This page will be updated when Rockstar publishes official information.
